Our Theatre 101 workshops cover foundational theatre skills that transfer from the classroom to the stage!

This workshop will focus on lyric and music analysis, characterization, and audition technique. Learn how to embody the emotion behind your favorite musical theatre piece with us! 

PREPARING FOR THE WORKSHOP

• Please prepare a 16-32 bar cut of musical theatre song.
• Memorization is highly encouraged in order to fully work on your song at the workshop.
• An accompanist will be provided.Please bring a copy of your sheet music for the accompanist.
• If you do not have a song, options will be emailed to you after registration. You may also pick up songs at the SYT offices.

AGE REQUIREMENT

• This workshop is open to youth in the 3rd-12th grade.

REGISTRATION

• Pre-registration is required.
• To ensure that students have enough time to prepare their material in advance for the workshop, registration closes at 12pm on the Wednesday before the workshop.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

• There are no refunds or make-up sessions for missing the workshop.
