Behind the Scenes: A Crew Crash Course (Rising 7th-12th)
June 3-7, 9:00 am-3:00 pm

This camp will provide a crash course of crewing by learning what goes into the set, costumes, props, lights, and sound of the rising 3rd-6th Wizard of Oz: The Deleted Scene Production Camp running the same week. Taught by the designers of both the Spartanburg Youth Theatre and the Sprtanburg Little Theatre shows, you will get to learn what goes into taking a show from a script to the stage!
This Behind the Scenes Class will design and crew the technical elements of the rising 3rd-6th grade production camp. There will be a performance of the show on the final day of camp.

Jumpin' Jellybeans! (Rising K4-K5)

Rising K4-K5 students must be fully potty-trained and able to use the bathroom by themselves. SYT staff may not change diapers nor enter the bathroom with a child.
Jump, jive, and jam with us as we explore all the jubilant ways we can express ourselves!
Our one-week camps for rising K4-K5 explore creative play, music and art, while learning acting and storytelling techniques. Classes at this age are intended to help ignite the imagination and encourage group play. There will not be a play or performance in classes for this age range, but rather a sharing of activities.

Production Camp: Wizard of Oz: The Deleted Scene (Rising 3rd-6th)

Find out what happens if Dorothy took a shortcut instead of the yellow brick road! This performance camp provides an opportunity to explore how we put a show together from the script to the stage in one week!
Our one-week camps for rising 3rd-6th graders introduce theatre techniques for those who are curious, and provide intermediate-level performance camps for those who are ready for the next step of the theatre process. Production camps at this age range will include a shortened performance of a full length play.
Flat Stanley (Rising 1st-2nd)

Our one-week camps for rising 1st-2nd graders continue to develop teamwork, self-expression, and imagination, while introducing acting techniques and stage movement skills through a specific fun setting or theme. Classes at this age are intended to introduce young children to the concepts of theatre and encourage group play. There will not be a play or performance in classes for this age range, but rather a sharing of activities.
Musical Theatre Dance (Rising 7th-12th)
June 10-14, 9:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

Point those toes and tap those feet as you explore the different styles of musical theatre dance! From ballet, to tap, to jazz, find your rhythm and get more comfortable dancing onstage!

Does your child want to take their love of singing to the next level? We are excited to offer our first ever group voice lesson! Students will learn introductory musical theatre vocal techniques, build their repertoire, and learn some audition tips.
Our week long vocal technique camps for rising 3rd-6th graders introduce voice techniques for those who are curious and provide intermediate-level strengthening opportunities for those who are ready for the next step of the musical theatre process.
Under The Sea (Rising K4-K5)

Musical Theatre: SpongeBob and Shrek (Rising 3rd-6th) - AM SESSION

Set in the style of a musical revue, students will learn introductory singing and dancing techniques through songs and choreography from the cartoon and Broadway hits Spongebob and Shrek!

Camps at this age range will include a performance showcase of skills learned during class, but students will not be performing a full production.
