Rehearsals:

  • Actors will rehearse BEFORE the camp week. Rehearsals will be in the evening 4-5 nights per week during the weeks of June 5-9 and June 12-16, 5:30-8:30pm
  • Conflicts will be allowed, however if actors cannot attend the majority of the nights during those weeks, it may affect their ability to participate in the camp.
  • A rehearsal schedule will be sent to students once registration has closed, the week of May 8-12. Please list conflicts on the application. We understand conflicts may arise after filling out the application. If accepted into the camp, please communicate any additional conflicts that may come up immediately.

For students with relevant acting experience through an SYT class/camp or elsewhere, this camp will film and produce the next storybook in SYT’s virtual series Storybook Live!

After the wild success of our last two storybook live presentations of The Day the Crayons Quit and The Day the Crayons Came Home, actors in this camp will be in the cast for a Storybook Live! performance of the book The Crayons Trick-or-Treat by Drew Daywalt.

The Crayons want to go trick-or-treating, but they're not sure what to say! Purple Crayon teaches the rest of the crayon box the magic words to say when they ring their neighbors' doorbells… Hint: It's NOT "Boo!"

Application required (use link above). If you qualify, you will be emailed instructions to enroll within two weeks of submitting your application. A follow-up audition may be required based off application.

Actors in this camp will be in the cast for a Storybook Live! performance of the book Ricky, the Rock That Couldn’t Roll by Mr. Jay and Erin Wozniak.

From zippy little pebbles to big strong boulders, the rock friends get together to play and roll around, only to find that one of their friends, Ricky, can't roll with them because Ricky is flat on one side. Determined not to leave their friend behind, the rocks set out to help Ricky roll - one way or another.
